Gary Shigeru Natsume
Director of Design and Research
Gary is the Director of Design and Research at ECCO and is responsible for industrial design, client contact, business development and project management. Prior to joining ECCO Design, he worked as a Senior Designer at frogdesign inc. At frogdesign, he designed products for many of frog's major clients including: Nike, Ford, Timex, Panasonic and Shimano. He graduated from Aichi Prefecture University of Fine Arts (Japan), Parsons School of Design (New York), and received his Master of Fine Arts Degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art (Bloomfield Hills, MI U.S.A.).
Gary has won many design awards, and one of his works was in the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum exhibition ÒNational Design Triennial, Design Culture NowÓ and was later acquired by the Museum as part of a permanent collection.
