Volkswagen Voice Recognition User Interface Project
ECCO Design was approached by automotive giant Volkswagen to design a simple and elegant graphical user interface concept to mate with their innovative cutting-edge Natural Language Speech Recognition Software System. The goal was to complement this advanced speech recognition software that aims to reduce driver distraction, with an easy-to-use user interface on a touch screen.
ECCO worked with Volkswagen’s team in their Electronic Research Lab facility in Palo Alto to understand their speech recognition software, and extrapolate the functionality into the graphical realm.
The result was an elegant, simple, and compelling experience for the user showcased in a state-of-the-art Driving Simulator in Volkswagen’s facility in Palo Alto.
RPI Loop Chair Friendly and light, this chair is adaptable to a variety of public spaces
Denso Automotive Interior and User Interface Design The sound of the engine responding to acceleration, the dynamic tension when hugging a corner, the intuitive conversation between the driver and the road – these are the elements that ECCO kept in mind during this design project.
